.NPR: Far From Olympics, Violence Rises In Rio’s Poorest Neighborhoods

Now I know I haven’t been putting out content on the Rio Olympics, but I do have a reason. I was very skeptical, and quite honestly still am skeptical about the whole event itself. I feel like these Olympics should never have been held in Brazil because it contributes nothing to the community. If anything they may leave it in worse condition than when they arrived. 

This story is simply about the state of Rio Brazil and the affect these Olympics are having on that community. It’s not all dandelions and roses. Here’s the link below with a story from NPR:
